Kingscare Fostering Agency Limited is an Independent Fostering Agency. It was set up by experienced qualified professionals in order to provide an innovative and needs led services to children and young people in foster placement.
Within the organization, we have vast experienced staffs who have worked in various Local Authority settings, as well as Voluntary sector and independent sector.
Kingscare was set up largely in response to a perceived need for a prompt coordinated service which provides packages of care to the needs of individual children and young people from various ethnic origins especially ethnic minority children. Practical and experienced support is available at all times for carers therefore, giving the placement the maximum possible chance of success.
Kingscare is a professional organisation which is based in an area of London that has a diverse community and we aim to provide services to London Local Authorities and Surrey Counties. Kingscare firmly believes in working in partnership with agencies who are involved in the day to day care of a child / young person in order for the child’s needs to be met.
Kingscare has experienced, committed carers, Teacher, Counsellors, Mentor, Youth Workers and Independent workers who together with Kingscare undertake a wide variety of specialised work with children and young people, in order to provide them with a stabile and secure home environment.
Our foster carers are given a high level of support, 24 hour access to professional assistance advice, guidance, regular weekly contact, day to day contact, regular supervision which enables carers, children and young people alike to feel secure, there are independent counsellors, social workers, and teachers etc who are available to assist carers with their work. In addition, they are given ongoing training, provided with support network, International day, away day, therapy and holidays.
All our foster carers are trained in dealing with issues of child welfare, child protection, challenging behaviour, drug awareness, Bereavement, separation, loss, equal opportunities, anti discrimination practice, Challenging behaviour, (ADHD), First Aid, Health and Safety, Children Act 1989 and 2004, group work, Looked After Children, what happens at review, Case Conference, Planning Meetings, Statutory Medical, Missing Person etc.
In addition to fostering, Kingscare have 16+ units in South East of London. The Agency has a pool of carers/staff that undertake contact work and provide contact reports. The Agency will be opening up mother and baby units very shortly which will be based in Surrey.
Kingscare undertakes parenting assessment with the community by experienced social workers. Some of these works could be undertaken in the evenings and weekend, if this is what the service-users wish to see happen.
